Afteroom

Simplicity and honesty guide the studio's work. An interest in forms, senses, proportions, materials and cultures shapes its approach to design. Afteroom aims to create beautiful objects that gain value over time, with room for the traces that use and age leave behind.

For Lintex, the studio has designed A01, where a solid oak frame lifts the glass away from the wall and a field of colour appears to float within it. A08 brings shelving together with sliding writing surfaces or textile panels. Its removable modules make space for writing, pinning and storage.
